Walker Environmental Group operates one of the largest privately-owned solid non-hazardous waste landfills in Ontario. Our Niagara Waste South Landfill is licensed to accept up to 850,000 tonnes of waste and cover annually. With a life of 20-25 years, our site is an ideal long-term solution for the disposal needs of municipalities, businesses and site remediation contractors.

The Niagara Waste South Landfill is a technologically advanced, environmentally sound disposal option for non-hazardous waste. It is constructed with a sophisticated double composite liner system that protects the surrounding ground and surface water. We generate renewable energy through our landfill gas collection and utilization system by harnessing and diverting methane gas for use by local industry as a supplement to their natural gas requirements.
