Waste to Resource Ontario (W2RO) elects Walker Industries Vice President Mike Deprez as Board Co-Chair 

Niagara, ON  – Today, at Waste to Resource Ontario’s (W2RO) 2024 Annual General Meeting, Mike Deprez, Vice President of Waste Services and Business Development at Walker Industries (Walker), was elected Co-Chair of the association’s Board of Directors. 

Mr. Deprez’s 22-year tenure in Walker’s Environmental Division, along with his industry knowledge of the resource recovery, landfill disposal and landfill gas utilization sectors, will be invaluable assets as the association continues to advocate for sustainable growth and a stronger circular economy in Ontario.  

“I am excited for the opportunity to serve as Co-Chair of W2RO’s Board of Directors, and see opportunity for industry growth and innovation,” said Mr. Deprez. “Looking to the future, the importance of resource recovery and the circular economy cannot be understated. With continued investments and support for new technologies, Ontario can maintain its leadership position in sustainable practices for others to follow.”
